🧑‍💻 Developer experience

• Developers can now connect project folders as a data source in the Developer CLI, so pulling texts automatically includes all projects inside a selected folder without manually managing project lists.
• We published full documentation for the frontituderc.json configuration file, after we received number of requests to document it.

✅ Content reviews

• We now log text approvals in the activity log, so every approval action can be clearly tracked.

‍

📚 Copy library improvements

• You can now update text status and notes directly through CSV import, eliminating manual edits inside the app.
• Frontitude now automatically creates missing categories during CSV import using the forward slash convention in the "Name" column.
• The library's filter bar is now sticky, so filters remain visible while scrolling through components.
• You can now copy a component’s value to the clipboard in one click, making it easier to reuse or share texts.

🎨 Figma plugin enhancements

• Detach is now available directly inside the Figma plugin, aligned with the web app behavior.
• We replaced Figma's plugin notifications with custom toast messages for clearer, more consistent success and error feedback.

Content folks can now kick off automated content reviews directly from Figma, so feedback and approvals move faster with less manual back-and-forth.

Review Mode is great for collaboration, but starting a review can still take time when you need to collect the right strings and loop in the right stakeholders. This update automates that process.

✨ What’s new

• A new Review tab in our Figma plugin, dedicated to starting and managing content reviews.
• Teammates can select text in Figma and click Add to Review to collect content that needs review, then send it and forget it.
• PMs, legal, marketing, and other stakeholders get a clean review experience in the web app, with clear review state tracking so teams know what’s pending and what’s approved.

We’ve shipped a few updates to make exporting and managing content faster, more consistent, and less repetitive across Frontitude and the Figma plugin. Here’s what’s new:

✨ Improvements

• Detach is now available in the Figma plugin, aligning with the web app experience.
• Export project is now available directly from Language View, so you can export without switching views.
• Export options for projects and library are now persisted, so there’s no need to set your preferences on every export.

🐞 Bug fix

• Fixed an issue in the Figma plugin where an irrelevant warning message briefly flashed when submitting a change, even when there was no incoming change.

• Added dynamic page loading, which speeds up plugin load times and reduces memory usage, especially in complex and large Figma files.

🐞 Bug fixes

• Fixed issues where text layer names didn’t update correctly with the copy component status and unique key when attaching or detaching components.

We’ve shipped a new set of updates focused on improving stability, expanding UX Writing Assistant capabilities (in beta), and giving you more control over billing and subscriptions.

• Fixed an issue that caused strings with multiple variables to be formatted incorrectly in Android format.

Writing Assistant Beta

• Fixed a bug where the Rewrite feature ignored custom instructions.

Copy library and copy components

• Fixed a bug that caused plural versions of a copy component to appear as multiple components in the copy library instead of a single grouped component.
• Fixed an issue where AI translation selected the wrong plural form as the main version when auto-translating a copy component.

Projects and collaboration

• Fixed a bug where the Figma file link didn’t show in frame breadcrumbs when viewing a project as a workspace collaborator.

✨ Improvements and new capabilities

UX Writing Assistant Beta

• Added similar copy components from your library to the Rewrite feature, making it easier to reuse existing content and keep copy consistent.

Billing and subscriptions

• Improved billing settings reliability and overall experience.
• Added more self-serve subscription actions, including adding and removing seats and managing other subscription details directly from your account.

We’ve rolled out several updates that make collaboration smoother using Frontitude.

‍

💺 Introducing seat types

You can now assign teammates with specific seat types, giving them access to the Content Management Platform, the UX Writing Assistant, or both. This makes it easier to control access and plan your workspace seats effectively.

‍

Teammates can now also be invited directly from the Settings page with Writing Assistant access only, simplifying onboarding for writers and designers.

‍

🐛 Bug fix

The Activity Log in the component edit panel now loads properly and no longer disappears when the panel opens.

‍

💻 Developer CLI improvements

Developers can now filter project content by page or screen name when using the CLI. This means developers can fetch specific screens instead of the entire project. See documentation here.

🎨 Content Management Figma Plugin

When clicking “Open in Frontitude” from the Figma plugin, you’ll now be taken straight to the selected frame (if one is selected). A small tweak that saves a lot of clicks.

✨ New Writing Assistant (Beta)

We’re introducing a revamped UI and a new audit feature in the Writing Assistant Beta. The experience is smoother, more focused, and designed to make auditing content easier and faster.

We’ve shipped two enhancements to make reviewing and managing component suggestions faster and more flexible:

• Bulk selection in suggestions list - Added Select all/Deselect all to pick the right suggestions quicker.
• "Don’t show again" option - Control whether the component suggestions modal appears after syncing. You can now dismiss it directly in the modal, with the option to re-enable anytime from the settings tab.

We’ve rolled out a set of improvements to boost project performance and make search and translation workflows even more intuitive:

🔍 Case‑sensitive and exact‑match search

Search in projects and in the library now supports case‑sensitive and exact‑match queries.

‍

‍

🔄 Reactive project text and translation stats

Project-level word source text and translation progress now update live, with no need in page refresh. Just make a change, and the stats reflect it instantly.

🚀 Improved project load performance

Projects now load in roughly half the time by loading part of the data asynchronously.

• Improved stability when generating metadata in large batches
• Auto-generated unique keys now better align with your existing library keys
• Auto-generated category names are now more readable and consistently formatted

🆕 New

Bulk detach for component instances

You can now detach multiple component instances at once using the new “Detach” button in the multi-select bar in projects. This makes it easier and faster to manage large sets of content elements, and save them as separate copy components.

🔧 Improvements

Unified suggestion card design

Component suggestion cards in the Figma plugin now match the updated design in the web app, including a slimmer layout and visible similarity scores. This provides a more consistent and intuitive experience for UX writers working in Figma.

Search and filter result counter in copy library

You’ll now see a result counter when applying search or filters in the copy library. This makes it easier to understand how many items match your criteria at a glance.

Option to include duplicates when saving to library

A new checkbox lets you include duplicate texts when saving to the library, available in both the web app and the Figma plugin. This gives you more flexibility when organizing and centralizing your content.

Component deletion in selected category

Fixed an issue where components in a selected category couldn’t be deleted.

🚀 New

• ‍Bulk detach for component instances from projects. Easily detach multiple component instances at once in projects using the new “Detach” button in the multi-select bar.‍
• Component count in the copy library. Now you can see how many components match your filters or search. No need to “select all” to get a count anymore!

🛠️ Improvements

• ‍Usage visibility for AI Translation. You can now view remaining AI Translation usage directly in the Integrations tab under your workspace settings.‍
• Localization workflow updates. Translation statuses now automatically downgrade when a source language revision is submitted, ensuring translations stay in sync with the source and nothing slips through the cracks.
• Improved status sync with Figma and imports. Text and component statuses now automatically downgrade when changes are synced from Figma or imported to the copy library, ensuring content status stays in sync with adjacent processes.

🐞 Bug Fixes

• ‍App crash on category deletion. Fixed an issue where deleting a selected category in the library could cause the app to crash.
• ‍Developer CLI: --nested flag behavior. The --nested flag now works correctly with --include-translations, returning properly nested JSON structures in all languages.

We’ve made several updates to help you manage your content more efficiently and sync it with the design process. Here’s what’s included:

🚀 New

• ‍More control over component creation. You can now configure settings to turn off component creation when texts are finalized. This gives you greater flexibility over what you'd like to save as library components.

‍

🛠️ Improvements

• Translation status downgrades. When submitting a new change in the source language, all translations in Review or Final status are now automatically downgraded to New status, ensuring translations get updated before moving forward.‍
• Figma sync made smarter. Now, when syncing changes from Figma, texts and copy components with Final status are automatically downgraded to Draft status to prevent overlooked updates.

🐞 Bugfixes

• ‍Sorting issue resolved in library. You can now navigate to specific categories after activating sorting in the copy library without any issues.‍
• Crash fix on category deletion. We’ve fixed a bug that caused the web app to crash when deleting a selected category in the copy library.

Now, you can share and collaborate on content and translations smoothly with our new Review Mode—a dedicated space for working together on a specific set of texts or screens.

While projects are great for collaboration, they can sometimes become cluttered. Review Mode solves this by providing dedicated spaces for specific text lists—like ad-hoc projects.

We’ve added sorting options to the copy library, making it easier to find the text you look for!

Now, you can sort your library components by:‍

• Last edited - Quickly access recently updated content.
• Last created - Easily find newly added copy during the latest project, sprint, or product increment.
• A to Z / Z to A - Spot duplicates and browse content alphabetically.

‍

Sorting is also applied in the export feature.

‍

Try this new feature in your copy library.

We’ve just improved the Import from file feature in our copy library! You can now import tags along with your content.

‍

If tags with the same label already exist in your workspace, we’ll reuse them instead of creating duplicates.

‍

This is very useful for tagging your imports or reuse tags from a different source that generated the spreadsheet!

We’ve made it even easier to save content to your library for localization and developer handoff. Now, whenever you switch a text to “Final” status, a copy component is automatically created for you.

Here’s how it works:‍

• Finalized texts are automatically converted into copy components and stored directly in your library under the Uncategorized section.
• From there, you can quickly add a unique key, organize with tags, and move the component to the appropriate category in your library.

This new feature simplifies your workflow, saves time, and ensures no content gets overlooked. 🌟

‍

Managing UX content often involves the challenge of separating copy from non-copy text elements. We’ve just added a new option in the Figma plugin to hide (or exclude, if you prefer) non-copy text elements.

‍

This feature allows you to filter out noisy non-copy texts right from the start, creating cleaner lists for review, approval, or translation—all within Figma. We hope you like it!

🐞 In this version, we also fixed the following bugs in the copy library:

• Submitting a change with a note to a library component ignored the note.
• @mentions in the library component note input didn’t work.

• ‍Bulk multi-select with shift: Select multiple texts at once in any list view in Frontitude for faster, easier editing.‍

• Display component notes in language view: Translators can now view component notes in language views, which can be used as an effective way for briefings.‍
• New project export column: “Component name”: See the name and full library path of component instances in exports for better clarity.

🎨 Figma plugin updates

• ‍Figma native notifications: We’ve switched to using Figma’s native notifications for info, success, and error messages. This change provides a cleaner experience without toast messages occupying significant portions of the plugin window.
• ‍Edit tags for multiple texts: You can now edit tags for multiple texts directly in Figma, simplifying various use cases, such as enabling designers to classify content into segments seamlessly within Figma.

• ‍Copy library's suggestions tab fix: WeYou can now exclude text instances properly when creating components from suggestions.‍
• Component-level tag filtering in exports: Filter settings now reflect correctly in exported files.

It’s finally here! You can now go over a list of texts and quickly open them directly within the design. This view combines the best of both design and list views, making it easier and faster than ever to go through a list of texts.

💫 This new view works like magic with these use cases:

• Reviewing a list of new texts and adding them to the library as copy components
• Reviewing a list of new texts and hiding non-copy elements
• Reviewing and commenting on a list of draft texts
• Translating a list of finalized texts
• And many more...

⌨️ We’ve also included a couple of new keyboard shortcuts:

• Up and Down (↑↓) keys to navigate through the list of texts
• Cmd/Ctrl+Enter to submit an edit from the editing pane

You can now sort screens within your projects by their layout in Figma! This new sorting feature supports both Horizontal (Left → Right) and Vertical (Top → Bottom) layouts, making it easier to visually collaborate on your content.

You can find this feature in your project’s navigation bar, and don’t worry—once selected, it will be saved for other projects, so you won’t have to select it again and again.
