Set up a copy review process

When working with an abundance of text, it is important to ensure all copy flows through the review process. Frontitude makes this simple with the workflow status feature. Here's how you can setup a copy review process in your team using Frontitude:

Handle new copy

Newly created copy coming from the design tool is always marked with New status. All new copy is collected into a unified feed under the New copy tab. This is the starting point for working on your copy.

  1. Click on New copy in the navigation menu. You'll see all new copy with New status.
  2. Review and organize new copy as follows:
  3. Hide irrelevant text by hovering the copy card and clicking the eye icon (you can also use the checkbox to select a few)
  4. Add tags to classify copy into categories and enhance project organization
  5. Click on a copy card to edit it in the editing panel
  6. If it needs some more work, change its status to Draft, to let everyone know it still a work in progress
  7. If you think there's no work left, change its status to Final, to let everyone know it's ready for production

Submit for review

Once you're satisfied with the new copy change and you'd like other peers to share their feedback, you should submit it for review. Then, reviewers can filter copy with Review status to easily understand which copy is pending review.

  1. Open any copy in the editing side panel
  2. Introduce a change
  3. If the copy is in Draft, click on the right edge of the Submit Change button, then click on Submit for Review
  4. If the copy is in New, use the status dropdown at the top left of the editing panel to change its status to Review
  5. Now, this copy will show up when filtering copy with Review status on List View

Mark as final

Whether you are the reviewer or the author of the copy, you can set its status to Final to indicate that it's ready for production. This allows to easily filter final copy and hand it off to developers using the Export to CSV or code repository integration features.

  1. Open any copy in the editing side panel
  2. If it needs no more touch ups and ready for production, use the status dropdown at the top left of the editing panel to change its status to Final
  3. Now, this copy will show up when filtering copy with Final status on List View
